Grapes: Barbera 100 %
Origin & Soil: From the Pian Romualdo vineyard in Monforte d'Alba.
Vintage: The grapes arrived in the cellars and were destemmed and crushed. Maceration lasted 10 days at a maximum temperature of 29°C. The malolactic fermentation was completed before the winter.
Ageing took place for 12 months part in 50 Hl oak barrels, and part in barriques at the second passage. Another 4 months of bottle ageing followed in the Prunotto cellars before shipping.
Taste: with hints of blackberries and spices. On the palate full and harmonic. A perfect match for roasted meats, game dishes and seasoned cheeses. Ideal serving temperature 17°C.
